Schools and EducationYour children can bow be part of a Examplary System when you move in to Cedar Hill. Cedar Hill ISD celebrates four Recognized Schools at Highlands Elementary, Beltline Intermediate, West Intermediate, and Cedar Hill High School; and one Exemplary School at Bray Elementary. The first year of the new state implemented TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) test scores were outstanding. All Cedar Hill ISD schools have been rated Exemplary to Acceptable and continue to outpace expectations. Cedar Hill ISD is a 5A District of exemplary and recognized schools with 2450 students:

Cedar Hill Recreation Center The new state of the art facility has four main components: Gym, Strength and Cardio Area, Specialized Rooms (Youth, Game and Aerobics) and Multipurpose Rooms. City Parks Valley Ridge Park provides organized playing fields for softball, soccer, and football, three playgrounds, hike and bike trails, and an outdoor amphitheater that seats 2,000 people. The Cedar Hill Parks and Recreation Department maintains 25 parks, totaling 597.25 acres, with many amenities.
